ASHRAE has developed a COVID-19 resource page to address coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) concerns with respect to the operation and maintenance of heating, ventilating and air-conditioning systems.  Standard 170 has also developed COVID-19 Guidance as healthcare facilities prepare for COVID patients – refer to the “Announcements” section of the TC 9.6 website.

HISTORY

A brief history of the Halifax / Atlantic province ASHRAE chapter (Chapter #100) 

 

In 1964 a group of Engineers, manufacturers representatives, and other industry related people got together to discuss a possible ASHRAE Chapter. Bill Chaffey was appointed chair of the Steering committee with Murray Malloy of the Montreal Chapter greatly helping Bill Chaffey with the ground work.

Charter Night was held at the Citadel Inn on March 15, 1965.
