The Energy and Carbon Impact of COVID on Baseline Energy Models
When millions of employees were forced to leave their offices and work from home due to COVID - what was the impact on building energy performance? Did it also drop to near-zero? What if energy efficiency measures were implemented just prior to the shutdown?
Time & Location

Workspace Atlantic, 84 Chain Lake Dr, Halifax, NS B3S 1A2, Canada
About the Event
When millions of employees were forced to leave their offices and work from home due to COVID - what was the impact on building energy performance? Did it also drop to near-zero? What if energy efficiency measures were implemented just prior to the shutdown? How is it possible to determine whether energy reductions were due to the efficiency measures or due to reduced occupancy?
Join us for a Hybrid meeting as we virtually welcome our presenters from Energy@Work to discuss:
i) Measurement And Verification (M&V): Key to success
ii) Tools that can be used to track energy, including making adjustments for non-routine events. These will include tools developed in Canada that are used commercially to provide 3rd party verification for $3.2 M of electricity reduction.
iii) Case study example showign how to use software tools to account for and respond to the impact of COVID on your building's energy performance.
